SIT and AUT Agreement Signing Ceremony Held in the New Zealand Pavilion

On June 16,2010 SIT and Auckland University held ceremony in the New Zealand Pavilion at the Expo to celebrate the signing of a renewed cooperation agreement. Ye Yinzhong, Vice president of SIT and the International Office,School of Chemical and Environment engineering and Vice President Nigel Hemmington and the colleagues from Auckland University of Technology attended the signing ceremony.

In Ye Yinzhong’s speech, he reviewed the history of cooperation between the two universities. The joint education program has gone through successfully for 7 years ever since it started in 2002 and the program was co designed by combining the education concepts and managed jointly by the two universities This has made our education more open, international and dynamic. With the joint efforts of the two universities, the project has been very successful. The students in this program have been working in various fields of the two countries and are devoting themselves to the enhancement of bilateral economic and cultural exchanges. Today's renewal will serve as a symbol of the cooperation of the two schools to enter a new stage, and achieve greater results.

Professor Nigel Hemmington, Vice President of New Zealand Auckland University of Technology also in his speech recalled the history of the two universities. And said that SIT was the first partner of Auckland University of Technology in China. Auckland University of Technology was very proud of the project.
