On the afternoon of April 20, on the occasion of grand celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Institute of Technology, the school held the University Presidents Symposium on High Quality Development with the theme of "Integration of University and Industry, Innovative Development" to jointly discuss new challenges faced in the context of world changes and new missions, looking forward to form new visions and new models for the future development of universities in the new era.

President of Shanghai Institute of Technology Wang Xiaofan, Vice President and Vice Chancellor Wang Ying and Vice President Mao Xiangdong attended the meeting.

School leaders from five universities including the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Nanjing Tech University, Oxford University in the UK, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Shanghai Dianji University delivered keynote reports.

Nearly 30 representatives from 11 universities at home and abroad and about 100 school officials and teachers were also in attendance.
