On the morning of September 25, the inauguration ceremony of the China-Laos Engineers School of Shanghai Institute of Technology was held at the Fengxian campus. The China-Laos Engineers School is jointly established by Shanghai Institute of Technology and Souphanouvong University of Laos. It is committed to cultivating international talents in railway engineering and other related fields that are urgently needed in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin and ASEAN countries, creating a Shanghai version of the "Tianyou Academy", and helping the country's higher education to enter the world stage with a more open, confident and proactive attitude.
Chen Jing, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and President of the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Zhang Xiaosong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Director of the Foreign Friendship Committee, and Dethsana SITHIXAY, Deputy Consul General of the Lao Consulate General in Shanghai, attended the ceremony. Guo Qingsong, Chancellor of Shanghai Institute of Technology, Wang Xiaofan, President of Shanghai Institute of Technology, Qi Xueyin, former Chancellor and Vira Anolac, President of Souphanouvong University, attended the ceremony.
