Warm congratulations on the 70th anniversary of our beloved SIT!

As a graduate, I was privileged to be a member of SIT, and I look back on my time there with pride and nostalgia. As one of the first international students to enter SIT, I embarked on a journey that not only enriched my academic pursuits, but also profoundly broadened my cultural horizons.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my Alma Mater for providing me with valuable experience and opportunities during my student years.

One of the most transformative aspects of my time at SIT was being immersed in a Chinese language environment, which led to a significant improvement in my language skills. The vibrant campus atmosphere and encouragement from teachers and classmates created an environment conducive to language acquisition, enabling me not only to master the nuances of the Chinese language, but also to gain a deeper understanding of China's rich culture.

In addition to academic growth, my Alma Mater has provided me with a supportive community of friends and mentors who have played a key role in my personal and professional development. Among these mentors, I would like to especially thank Teacher Ruan, whose unwavering dedication and sincere care for international students like me have left an indelible mark on me. Ruan's personalized guidance and tireless efforts to promote our academic success and cultural integration embody the spirit of excellence and inclusion at SIT. I would also like to thank my counselors, Mr. Chen and Professor Zhang, for their constant support and help.

As my Alma Mater celebrates this important milestone in its illustrious history, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to SIT.

May this anniversary be a testament to your enduring commitment to academic excellence, innovation and global engagement. Seventy years shaping minds, changing lives, and making meaningful contributions to society! Congratulations on this extraordinary achievement and best wishes for continued success and prosperity in the years to come!

I want to share with you my incredible journey of pursuing education in a foreign land. When I first arrived in China, I was faced with the daunting task of overcoming language and cultural barriers that made it challenging to connect with the locals. However, with determination and the support of my fellow students, we embarked on a journey of discovery and learning to bridge this divide.

Our educators played a vital role in not just teaching us the language but also immersing us in the rich tapestry of local customs and traditions. One memorable experience was the annual Spring Festival ceremony meticulously planned by our teachers, where we learned about cultural exchanges, mutual respect, and participated in traditional practices like making dumplings. These celebrations not only enriched our educational experience but also fostered a sense of community and belonging.

Deciding to pursue my bachelor's degree at the prestigious Shanghai Institute of Technology filled me with pride and a sense of achievement. The university provided a supportive environment for growth, where I built strong connections with local friends who not only helped me academically but also welcomed me with warmth and kindness. The bond we shared was a testament to the inclusive and nurturing atmosphere at the university.

The dedicated faculty members at our institution played a crucial role in shaping my academic journey. Their depth of knowledge, approachable nature, and unwavering commitment to providing a top-notch education instilled in me a drive for excellence. A particular phrase from one of my teachers, "What you sow, so shall you reap," served as a constant reminder for me to work diligently towards my goals, with their unwavering support guiding me along the way.

During moments of uncertainty, the unwavering support and understanding from my teachers served as a source of comfort and motivation, reinforcing my belief in the transformative power of education. Their mentorship not only equipped me with knowledge and skills but also instilled in me a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities that came my way.

I am immensely grateful to my teachers, friends, and family members who have been instrumental in my educational journey.

Shanghai Institute of Technology holds a special place in my heart, filled with cherished memories, valuable experiences, and profound lessons that have not only enriched my academic pursuits but have also illuminated a path towards a future brimming with endless possibilities.

Happy Birthday to my beloved Alma Mater!
