School of Sciences originated from the Department of mathematics and physics and was renamed tSchool of Sciences in 2009. The overall school running orientation of School of Sciences is to consolidate the mathematical foundation and support applied technology. It mainly carries out the teaching of mathematical public basic courses such as advanced mathematics, engineering mathematics, College Physics and college physics experiment for engineering, management and liberal arts, taking into account the construction and development of disciplines and majors. Since the enrollment of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics in 2008 and photoelectric information science and Engineering in 2011, the professional construction of School of Sciences has also made great progress. The college consists of Applied Mathematics Department, applied physics department, higher mathematics teaching and Research Office, University Physics Teaching and Research Office, physics experiment center and college office.
School of Sciences has 94 faculty members, including 78 full-time teachers, including 43 mathematics teachers and 35 physics teachers; There are 8 professors and 26 associate professors; There are 26 master tutors. There are 57 teachers with doctoral degrees (including 2 teachers with foreign doctoral degrees), accounting for 73.1% of full-time teachers.
At present,School of Sciences has one master's degree in mathematics, three master's degree in secondary disciplines or engineering: Master's degree in material science and Engineering (photoelectric material preparation and application direction), master's degree in control science and Engineering (intelligent detection and sensing technology direction), and master's degree in photoelectric information Engineering in electronic information category.
School of Sciences undertakes the basic courses of mathematics and physics for postgraduates and undergraduates and the teaching tasks of two undergraduate majors and three master's programs in our college. There are many categories and levels of teaching. School of Sciences provides strong support for the construction of various majors in the University.
